Details of the Versions 4.3.0 - 4.6.3

New LASTRADA release versions were issued once every 7-8 weeks. When needed, we provide patches within 24h. Each update includes new functionalities which were requested by LASTRADA users.

      Administration of Contracts

    • It is now possible to copy the open contract.
      - Header data and included services will be copied.
      - Sub-contracts and contract numbers will not be copied.

    • Invoices

    • Output of the contact persons' phone number is now possible.
    • SC items can now be divided into groups.
    • These groups will be available in the invoice dialogue, from where all positions of one group will be filled in the invoice.

    • Collective Invoice

    • The concrete test method "Carbonation resistance acc. to SIA 262/1" can now be invoiced via the collective invoice.
    • The SC item for the concrete test method "Flexural strength" can now be assigned for each specimen shape.

    • NCR

    • Additional to the single tasks it is now possible to manage files in a document archive.

    • Concrete - new XML interface

    • A new XML interface to transfer sampling notifications has been implemented.
    • With this feature, data related to concrete samples can automatically be transferred to LASTRADA. Incoming datasets will be read via the LASS-service automatically and with regard to their mixing plant. Therefore, the datasets will be available at the laboratory within a very short time.
    • The sampling notifications can be found and reviewed in a new dialogue ("Test+Modules/Concrete/ Interfaces/Sample Notifications"). For each notification, several organizational data will be transferred such as: delivery (amount, ticket no.), client, construction site, fresh concrete data (consistency, temperatures, drying test) and information about the produced specimen (no., shape, storage).
    • At the push of a button you can transfer these data to the concrete FPC to save time and prevent mistakes. In this context the data transfer for the concrete FPC dialogue has been revised. Another new dialogue "Concrete - WDI Data Import" combines all import interfaces of this area and manages the right temporal sequence.
    • It is also possible to save the sample notifications as an Excel format (XML spreadsheet).
    • Datasets will be transferred to the LASS-service in XML format, the required XML scheme (interface definition) is available on request.

    • Concrete Mix Design

    • When suggesting the requirements from the recipe (bundle) and calculating the chloride class C1 1,0; the exposure classes XC, XD, XS will be reset.
    • Specification bundles are now available for:
      - w/c target ratio,
      - effective cement-equivalent, minimum and target,
      - a design sulphate class (BS 8500-1:2015)
      - a ACEC class (Aggressive chemical environment for concrete - BS 8500-1:2015)
    • The w/c target ratio is also editable in the dialogue "Test+Modules/Concrete/Concrete Design/Specifications".
      Please notice: Concrete recipes can be adjusted by a prescribed w/c ratio. This operation is accessible via the "Concrete Design" as well as via "Mass Data Operations". If there is a definition of limits and targets for the w/c ratio, the target will apply.
    • The performance of the database selection of designs has been optimized. This especially leads to an improved output of the product list.
    • The default settings of the field "valid from" are now configurable via the dialogue "Test+Modules/Concrete/Concrete Design/Options/Default settings for new recipes/designs".

    • Concrete FPC

    • A new button "Import: Delivery Tickets" has been added which leads to a new dialogue where you can import delivery tickets and see its uploading progress.

      - Create new specifications from recipe no.
      - Create quantities and StatReadySamples
      Retrieve sampling notifications...:
      - Create fresh concrete samples and specimens
    • Additional column "Sulfate resistance" has been implemented into the dialogue "Samples + Test Results".

    • Concrete Master Data

    • New attributes regarding storage available under "Master Data/Concrete/ Storage/Shape/Factors":
      - You can now "Calculate target and actual age": "from production time", "from loading time" or "from initial setting" as well as "freely enter target age".
      - If you choose one of these storage types the ages will be calculated automatically

    • Asphalt

    • FPC - new time series diagram for statistics: "Document/Template Toolbox/Asphalt/Factory Production Control", page 5:
      For each time series (curve) is now adjustable:
      - Curve type: Actual, min, max, target, deviation, CUSUM C-Plus,...
      - Value type: Binder content, voids, voids filled with bitumen,...
      It is also possible to set a value type for all time series (curves) and to affect the time scale with the amount of samples or test numbers (context menu under "more").
    • QC: The test to determine the carbonate content is now also supported by "Testing Program"/"Testing Program Test Overview".
    • You can now set limits for the adhesivity for HRA (hot rolled).
    • New cell types for the table for output of mixture data available.
    • KPI-Output monthly overview: new cell type for the "Standard deviation binder for the last 32 samples [%]". That includes up to the last 32 samples from the selected month or earlier.
    • KPI-Output time series (control charts Xbar, MR, CUSUM): additional data is available - sample no., test no. or external test no.
    • A new dialogue for the asphalt declaration has been implemented. If the [Ctrl] key is pressed while calling the "Declaration" dialogue, the new dialogue appears instead of the old one. At first glance you will notice the new and more convenient design. Data are grouped on different sheets in one dialogue. If it is convenient for you, sheets, individual fields, or grid lines can be hidden. Hidden items can be saved as default for all users or as a template for any individual user. Therefore it is possible to show each user only the data he really needs.
      In the long run the new dialogue will completely replace the old one.
      For the asphalt declaration: It is now possible to set also internal control limits (next to the differing specifications), which will be considered in the tests of the FPC samples.
    • The same principle of new dialogues has also been implemented for the asphalt specification, which will be the standard dialogue for the US version.

    • Cement Tests

    • The selection box for the test type has been enlarged for the Cement Test as well as for the Testing Register. The Testing Register now shows instead of the short marks the long description texts.

    • Bitumen Specification

    • New dialogues have been implemented to register "Cationic Emulsified Bitumen" (ASTM D2397) and "Performance Grade Bitumen" (ASTM D6373/AASHTO M332).

    • Bitumen FPC

    • A new dialogue has been implemented to register "Performance Grade Bitumen" (ASTM D6373/AASHTO M332).

    • Aggregates

    • New diagram for time series "Aggregate- Time Series" to report statistics:
      See under "Document/Template Toolbox/Aggregate/Aggregate Statistics", Page 3.
      For each time you can set up the following in the context menu of the diagram (right mouse click):
      - Curve type: Actual, target, min, max, moving average (3), CUSUM C-Plus, ...,
      - Parameter: Under size, over size, water content, grading, etc.
      Via "additional..." you can set the parameter for all time series and define the time scale via sample no., Lab no. or ext. sample no. Attention: Existing time series diagrams will be automatically replaced, whereas the curve type and parameters will be transferred.
    • New cell types and settings in the statistics table: For instance, you can now define the sorting sequence of the samples. In addition, there are new column types to report the moving average of selected parameters.
    • Statistics report for Aggregate Receiving Inspection: You can now use the statistics template of the aggregate plant QC.
    • New option to enter the grading in the Flakiness dialogue. The option to register the grading in the normal sieving dialogue is not effective anymore here.
    • The tests resistance against "Magnesium Sulphate" and "Sodium Sulphate" acc. to ASTM C88 can be entered independently.
    • Density determination: there is a new combined test method for mixes acc. to ASTM C127/C128 available.
    • New cell types in the table "Aggregate Declaration".
    • New tests:
      "Content of flat and elongated particles" (ASTM D4791),
      "Fine Aggregate Angularity on uncompacted Material" (AASHTO),
      "Consistency limits acc. to Atterberg" (AASHTO T89A / T90),
      "Los Angeles" (AASHTO T96).
    • For each declaration you can now enter a plant no.

    • Documents/Templates

    • Important change for all user who work on templates in LASTRADA:
      "Save as template" will be replaced by "Save as". When using "Save as" you can either save a report or as template. The default setting will be "Save as template" for example reports or documents from the template toolbox. Whereas per default reports will be "saved as report". The document window refers to the last saved file, also when used "Save as template".
    • Diagrams: New method to position the decoration: "Text dynamic on top or below" (depending on where is space).

      Client Registration

    • A new field to enter the county of the client/company has been implemented.

    • Incoming Samples Ledger

    • The project name of the selected contract will now be displayed in the dialogue.

    • The output list of the testing program overview contains additional cell types to show "invoiced" and "not invoiced" amounts.

    • Aggregate Tests

    • Fine Aggregate Angularity Test (FAA) according to AASHTO T304 has been implemented.

    • Asphalt Quality Control Testing

    • Layer thickness of 4 cores can now be registered.
    • You can also register 4 cores for the determination of bond between layers/shear deformations.
    • At the registration of test values via testing program/test list, it is now possible to enter staff initials for certain tests.

    • You can now register the pH-value of a bitumen emulsion (EN 13808).

    • Automatic Reporting

    • Sending emails via SMTP at the automatic reporting is now possible via LASTRADA's SMTP email interface.

    • Concrete - Conformity/CUSUM

    • In the new CUSUM overview dialogue an adjustable window with a CUSUM chart will open by clicking at a small diagram.

    • Aggregate - KPI

    • Additional columns:
      - "Article-descr." displays the long article description.
      - New column: "# samples not in statistics"
      - "# samples" (Number of considered samples) moved to the front (blue area).

    • Asphalt - KPI

    • New column in dialogue shows the number of samples, which are not designated for statistics ("# samples not in statistics").
    • The column "# samples" (number of considered samples) has been moved to the front (blue area).


      Asphalt - Incoming Inspection

    • The field for "Size fraction" used to show the value "0/0" constantly, when the box "Sample contains an aggregate declaration" was not checked. Now, the size fraction will be determined and shown via the values for "min. Size" and "max. Size".

    • Excel-Export

    • In case of negative values, the Excel-export of mixture statistics did not display the penetration index.

      Sample Management

    • New column "Test until" / "Due between" in the general list report / search dialogue "Sample selection" available.

    • NCR

    • Document output enabled with new output tables and a new entry in the template toolbox (miscellaneous).
    • New e-mail button in the NCR Details dialogue for sending a NCR report to various addressees as an attachment.
    • NCRs for aggregate samples will now be assigned to the specific aggregate within a sample instead of the whole sample.
    • The date of the creation and close out of the NCR will now be shown and LASTRADA will prompt the user to communicate the action to all responsible individuals. For each task within a NCR an escalation date will be saved if the corresponding action has been triggered.

    • Soils/Plate Bearing Test

    • On the "Measured values" page: the defined curve types (polynomial, spline, …) including settings for "crop to the right" for the last loading curve of the last test location will be applied automatically to new test locations.

    • Soils/Proctor Test

    • New F2 Options: "Direct entry of dry densities". This applies to all new test locations. It can be turned off for an individual test by clicking on the button "--> Dry density".

    • Asphalt Type Test/Mix Design

    • More than one XF class can be selected for one design. They will be shown in the dialogue, which selects the product list.
    • Within a plant, concretes can be moved from one list of products to another. The "big" specification dialogue will be used for selection.

    • Concrete

    • The "Mixture Declaration" output table on page 19 in the template toolbox can now understand cell indices to directly target mixture variants (trial mixes). If no index is set, the recommended mixture is still being reported as before. The indices are referring to variants A to E (1-5). For Superpave mix design more variants can be reported and the aggregate blend can also be specified by setting a table index via the table’s context menu.
    • The same table now contains new cell types for separate output of suppliers of filler, fine, and coarse aggregates.
    • New fields to register and report several test results:
      - for samples compressed with gyrator: Water sensitivity (i/C), Stiffness modulus, Voids
      - others: Water sensitivity and Fatigue resistance.
    • If the [Ctrl] key is pressed while calling the "Declaration" dialogue, a new dialogue appears instead of the old one. At first glance you will notice the new and more convenient design.     • Asphalt Quality Control Testing

    • The carbonate content of the filler can now be calculated and reported either as filler content only or as filler content in relation to the complete mixture.

    • Asphalt Sampling Plans / Operating Compliance Level

    • The time filter of the OCL main dialogue is now taken over by the dialogues for production quantity summary and incoming quantities.
    • The production quantity dialogue now gets its data much faster.

    • Aggregate Tests

    • In the test dialogues for calculating the content of sulphate or chloride the fields indicating the complete content of salt will be hidden if only one of the tests has been made.
    • You can now add the contract items to the template. In this case contract data of the first sample will be reported.

    • Concrete

    • Conformity report: the test type "Resistance to sulphate" has been added.

    • Bitumen FPC

    • The bitumen-FPC now also supports the following binder types:
      - Penetration Graded Bitumen according to ASTM D946
      - Viscosity Graded Bitumen according to ASTM D3381
      - Cationic Emulsified Bitumen according to ASTM D2397
      - Performance Grade Bitumen according to ASTM D6373 or AASHTO M320 and M332 respectively.


      Concrete Conformity Report

    • The s15 value was reported and the sigma test inequation estimated erroneously (since 459-00).

      General sub-contract

    • The registration date of a general sub-contract can now be modified.

    • Invoices

    • Sub contracts which have been invoiced can now be saved with modified construction site data of these sub contracts.

    • NCR

    • NCRs can now be created for samples from the receiving inspection of aggregates.

    • Concrete mix design

    • If you open the dialog "Concrete mix design" using a design which is already open in another dialogue you will be prompted to switch to the corresponding dialogue.
    • When "Scrolling" concrete designs (green arrows) the dialog "Concrete plant + list of concretes" remains open in the background.
    • The dialog "List of article prices: Concrete mixture" now also displays the place in addition to the plant name. This modification concerns the selection box as well as the overview.
    • When using the function "Copy incl. concrete" the export timestamp will be reset.
    • On the volumetric calculation page the field "Name for data export"can be made visible for suppliers. This is done by adding the respective column. For mining sites their "match code" will be shown. A new cell type for the "Data sheet" has been created.
    • Via the menu item "Diagnosis/Report" all read-write DB operations for concrete designs can be researched.

    • Concrete plant

    • More than one XF class can be selected for one design. They will be shown in the dialogue, which selects the product list.
    • Within a plant, concretes can be moved from one list of products to another. The "big" specification dialogue will be used for selection.

    • Concrete

    • Conformity reports: It is possible to enter conformity standards. This enables you to start using modified standards and modified rounding rules on a specific date. The settings are made in the main dialogues for administration of conformity verifications via the F2 key or via Options/Concrete. Additional hints are shown in the main dialogue.
    • Identity evaluation: It is possible to enter identity standards. This enables you to start using modified standards and modified rounding rules on a specific date. The settings are made in the main dialogues for administration of identity verifications via the F2 key or via Options/Concrete. Additional hints are shown in the main dialogue.
    • FPC list of concretes: a new multiline field "Alternative plan" has been implemented including a cell type for output.
    • Testing program lab clearance for FPC:
      - more than one QC list of concretes (incl. sub QC contracts) can be handled,
      - archived product lists will be taken into account for existing testing contracts.
      However they will be ignored for newly created contracts.
    • The concrete testing register has been enlarged by "Batching date" and "Batching time".

    • Soil / Plate bearing test

    • The real end of testing can now be set using the fields "test end date", "test end time". The corresponding cell types in table "Test location data" are: test end date and test end time.

    • Asphalt KPI

    • Has been extended by Medium deviation for product views.
    • Product view, column "Short article description": If there are more than one short article descriptions for one TT-no. the text "several (xxx, ...)" will be displayed, xxx being the first one.

    • Asphalt

    • Output: the declaration table can be embedded into the universal table for mixture data and will be filled.
    • New column types for the mixture statistics.
    • In the FPC you can now select staff from the master data as a person sampling.
    • You can now create a sieving diagram with limit curves, (TT) target curves and average curves of the selected samples.
    • There are new filters for TT and article numbers in the "Automatic reporting" module.
    • The insoluble rubber particles can be entered in the FPC.

    • Aggregate FPC

    • A free text (including text modules) can be set for the person sampling.

    • Test Equipment

    • There are additional test intervals of three and four years.

    • Testing Program

    • The quick selection of testing programs has been modified: if you make a quick selection "all selected packages" will no longer be overwritten. Instead the "newly selected testing programs" can be added to the ones already existing.

    • Translation Dialogue

    • A third language for translation can be shown. It will be dominated by the second one.

      Number Generation Patterns

    • There is a new pattern for generating the sub contract number for Asphalt type test sub contracts.

    • Department (Staff category)

    • The department can now be archived.

    • Administration of Contracts

    • You now can clear several sub contracts at the same time in the contracts dialog. This feature is secured by an individual right.
    • In the contracts dialog you can now display the contract number and the project name in this order.
    • There may be a distribution list for each contract. In this list companies can be selected and saved. Eg. you can select the same customer as in the contract. If you later modify the customer of the contract there will be no modification in the distribution list. This is often regarded as an inconsistency and will therefore clearly be shown in the distribution dialog.

    • Invoices

    • It is now possible to print all selected invoices at a time from the invoice list.

    • NCR

    • Asphalt samples which do not conform to the standard will be shown in a different color in the asphalt samples dialog.

    • Reclaimed Asphalt

    • There are new fields for the aggregate density (with buttons to either calculate the aggregate density from the particle density or vice versa) and dynamic viscosity.

    • Asphalt tests

    • Determination of Marshall stability
    • Now the relevant standard will be saved with the test. Up to now it was deducted implicitly from the asphalt specification. The default for new test is EN 12687-34 (2015). The standard defines how the correction factor is calculated from the height of the sample. Apart from EN 12697 some older standards such as EN 12697 (2004) and TP Asphalt 34/2007 are supported. Older SN or DIN standards are no longer supported.
    • Determination of water sensitivity (UTSR) of aggregate mixes.
    • The ASTM D4867 standard will be supported in addition to EN 12697-12.
    • The content of Calcium Hydroxide can be determined in the Asphalt Quality Control Testing.
    • There are new celltypes in the mixture and statistic tables. There is a new column for content of Calcium Hydroxide in the export to Excel and XML.
    • The maximum dosage of all aggregates will be shown and can be reported via new celltypes in the type test.
    • There is a new pattern for generating numbers which always sets the sub contract number of the type test to the number of the type test.
    • Requirement classes of aggregates can be reported for a new type test.
    • New column types for the following categories: MBF, WS, CC, Ka, WA24, WCM, MS und MLPC.
    • New column type for thermal shock. The 3 relevant values fragmentation after thermal shock, increase of SZ after thermal shock, and increase LA after thermal shock are reported through the ordinals 1, 2, or 3 respectively. Thus the rules from table 21 of EN 13043 can be programmed in a template.

    • Asphalt-FPC

    • On the first page the temperature of the mix is set into relation to the relevant min and max values. If the target values are not met they will be displayed in red.
    • You can now set the amount of the last samples as an additional filter in the statistics. The standard deviation will now also be calculated for deviations of the target.

    • Asphalt-Master Data

    • You can enter new target values for a binder specification. In particular you can define target values for the temperature of the mix based on the group of the asphalt specification.

    • Asphalt-Sampling plants / Operating compliance level

    • The Operating compliance level dialog will now hide those groups for which there are neither samples nor quantities.
    • Definition of density of the mixture, of the aggregate recovered from the mixture, and of the aggregate at receiving inspection.
    • There is a new mode for the pycnometer in which you can optionally determine the mass of the pycnometer and the mass of the pycnometer + test liquid. In this mode these values will be used for determining the volume of the pycnometer and the density of the mixture. The default values of the pycnometer will be ignored.

    • General search dialogs

    • Standard search dialogs (such as "Sieve set selection" at Equipment / Sieve sets) now have adjustable properties (size, position, column widths) which can be saved.

    • Receiving inspection Aggregate

    • The sieving page now shows the sieves in the standard way.

    • Aggregate tests

    • Coefficient of uniformity (CU): in case the smallest sieve has a passing > 10% the size of the smallest sieve will be considered as D10. The lower limit of the CU will be calculated and reported on this basis.
    • The determination of the flow coefficient of fine aggregates now supports the revised EN 933-6 as a standard.

    • Testing program

    • Remarks can now be edited in a separate large dialog.
    • Testing program overview, Testing program test register, and Testing program tasks:
    • More than one short mark can be used as filter (separated by ";").

    • Time keeping report

    • There is a new detailed view with focus on the staff: information on position number, hours and remarks. The report has been extended accordingly.

    • Soil/Atterberg

    • The coordinates of the liquid limit diagram can be configured


      Aggregate tests

    • The sieving dialog used to show oversize and undersize with one decimal digit regardless of the rounding option. This has been fixed.

    • When selecting Templates/Reports/Documents it is now possible to select multiple files and thus open them in a single step.

    • Output Lists

    • The list for customers and contacts now has cell types for target groups.

    • Invoice

    • For an invoice it is now possible to enter two reminders and a remark. New sort order: Net, Gross, VAT, Paid, Open.

    • Invoice statistics

    • The invoice statistics dialogue now additionally shows the totals of "paid" and "open".

    • Testing program

    • The Testing Program Overview dialogue now supports a third bulk invoicing mode: bulk invoicing of all testing programs irrespective of completeness. The other two modes: only completed TPs and only complete TPs for cash clients.

    • NCR / Non-Conformity Report

    • You can enter the "Quantity of relevant material" and the "Status of the material" for a NCR. There is a new filter in the overview dialog for the test module and company categories. NCRs are now integrated with the user client system. Furthermore, NCR categories are now optionally specific to the aggregate or asphalt module. This is controlled via a flag in the master data.

    • Contract Administration/Archiving

    • When archiving a contract the filter dialogue shows an additional column for the department.

    • Document archiving

    • Document archiving can be configured variably via Options -> Document archiving:
      - Media (FTP-Server, Network shared folder)
      - Folder (relative path with respect to media)
      - Settings (Setting 'Which folder for which kind of documents')

    • Test equipment

    • Archiving of all equipment-related documents has been modified to work with the new document archiving options (cf. above) All documents which have been saved up to now will remain at their original place. New documents will be saved via the new document archiving. This has to be configured once. An unlimited number of documents can be saved for each test equipment.
    • Monitoring categories:
      can now be defined individually via Master Data/Test Equipment/Monitoring category. The categories "Calibration", "Maintenance" and "Repair" have already been created for use with existing data.
    • You can now enter a custodian for test equipment.
    • Advance warning deadline:
      According to the advance warning deadline the person in charge will be informed by a popup message. The leader of the department of the person in charge will be informed by a popup if the monitoring is overdue. If no individual deadline has been entered 30 days will be assumed automatically.
    • You can now create a relation between testing packages and test equipment.
    • Defect Notice:
      You can now enter (defect) notices in the overview of test equipment. If a new notice has been created the status of the equipment is set to "Defect notice" and a standard mail will be created. It will be shown to the user before sending and can therefore be modified. The custodian, the responsible staff, the chief of the department of the responsible staff, and the chief of the department to which the equipment is associated are recipients of this mail. (MS Exchange)
    • Monitoring of equipment:
      Date and the recorder will be registered automatically. The value "Costs per Category" will be shown in the equipment.
    • Overview of equipment:
      The overview has been enlarged in order to all existing monitorings (monitoring intervals of different types). This means several lines with different monitorings can be shown per equipment.
    • New Display in testing program:
      If equipment used in a testing package is not available this will be shown by a symbol. You will get additional information via tool tip and a click on the symbol. * the association between testing package and equipment will be imported into the testing program. If the equipment status is modified later it will have NO impact on the testing programs already created.

      - In the receiving inspection the additional description and the article (of the aggregate assigned to the mixing plant) are visible.
      - The statistics reports can now show samples for which no sieving has been made (since patch 457-10).
      - The specification now optionally contains the alternative aggregate designation which will replace the automatically generated name in all outputs.
      - You can now define an alternative name for each sieve in the master data dialogue. This will replace the sieve size in all relevant dialogues. This is due to supporting the ASTM sieve sets.

      - You can filter for region, group, plant and standard.

      - In order to define the content of soluble binder you can now enter the mass of a filter agent.
      - The output dialogue showing the consequences of a mixture sample for OCL now shows the lower limits for the mean criterion with a preceding "-".
      - For tolerances (-2/0) the target value is also shown as max value of the FPC.
      - In the asphalt declaration dialogue the size fractions will automatically be calculated from the target grading (if defined) when saving the dialogue.

      - In the grading curve optimizer the 0.45 chart can now be selected for displaying the grading of a type test. In this chart the curve of maximum packing density is shown as a reference.
      - Type Test: In the dialogue for binder content interpolation the interpolation diagram is shown.
      - There is a new cell type for displaying the indentation depth curve of standard and additional tests in the declaration table. When filling the field a suitable diagram will be inserted and filled with data. If you create a template you can create a respective field by printing a mastic asphalt test. The diagram can then be inserted into the template via "copy and paste" and then be modified according to your individual needs.
    • Factory Production Control:
      - New remarks "Info by contract awarder" and "Remarks of sample" have been implemented in the laboratory ledger.
      - On the first page you will see in red if the sample has non-standard deviations or if the sieving or the binder content is more deviant from the TT than allowed by the mean tolerances. The relevant tolerances must be activated as internal control limits of the specification.

    • Receiving inspection of bitumen and aggregates

    • On the properties page the tab order and the design have been optimized.

    • Aggregate Specification: Now, 8 instead of 4 limits for the D-values can be entered. The corresponding cell types for the output of the sieving and the declaration have been added.

    • CBR: The target values for swelling and for the determination of organic matter content were provided.

      Language Module

      The translation dialogue was improved:
    • The full text search is now non-modal.

    • Aggregate Testing

    • A new dialogue for the bulk density determination is provided. Additional to the DIN 52110, also the EN 1097-3 and BS 812-2 are supported. Now, a second density determination can be performed on the same laboratory sample (for instance in the compacted state). If the dry particle density or the density of the oven-dried sample was determined, also the voids content is calculated as result of the bulk density determination.
    • Drying shrinkage according to EN 1367-4 is available as a new test method.
    • In the sieving dialogue, the testing date and the testing person can be defined. Attention: Until now, the testing date was only internally set after saving and after the sieving was complete. Now, the actual date will be set by pressing "Calculate", if no date was set. A date which was set once will not be changed again automatically. For the output, new cell types are provided.

    • Asphalt Quality Control

    • When selecting the EP or binder specification, the compaction temperature of the Marshall specimen will be retrieved from the binder specification.
    • In the output table for asphalt core statistics, it can be defined that all layers of the same asphalt specification will be combined (via context menu).

    • Asphalt Type Test

    • For porous mastic asphalts the bulk density and voids content can be determined independently for the Marshall specimen as well as for cubes. The output is possible via the Asphalt Declaration table.
    • It is possible to registered which TT is replaced by the currently selected TT (predecessor TT) and which TT later replaced the selected TT (successor TT). The same holds for the declaration of TT data (target values for the quality control and FPC). In the selection dialogue of the declaration of TT data, this field is provided as an additional column. New cell types for the output of TTs, TT lists and asphalt declarations were implemented.
    • Besides Adobe Acrobat, now also FreePDF und PDFCreator can be used for the PDF creation via "Bulk Printing as PDF" or "Export as PDF to the optical archive".

    • Asphalt - Declaration of Type Test Data

      The option for grading curve registration can be defined independently from the FPC. The existing settings remain valid and can be changed separately.

      Asphalt FPC

      New dialogue for the extraction: If two tests are performed on the first sample, both extracted aggregate quantities can be sieved separately.


    • Registration "New specimen bundle": Tests are now shown with short mark and description.
    • Dialogue hardened concrete testing...: Redesign for better readability and usability, several fields were added for a complete and direct test data entry.
    • Verification of identity: New fresh concrete tests were implemented (density, voids, flow, compaction, slump, Vebe time, slump flow, t500 time, w/c-value, cement content). Statistics with a range control for individual results can be performed.
    • Master data: Storage, Shape and Conversion Factors can be sorted manually or automatically.

    • Soil- Atterberg

    • The example document "Atterberg / single trials for liquid and plastic limit" was expanded: 1) The liquid limit determination with Penetrometer method can be outputted according to BS 1377-2:1990. 2) The number of rows and columns can be changed, cells can be merged. 3) Different graphical objects can be embedded.
    • The tab "Test Location" contains a new text field to describe the condition of the sample (e.g. "wet sieved"). Text modules can be used. The corresponding cell types for the output were implemented.

    • Time Keeping

    • To analyse working time and equipment operating time, a new dialogue was implemented "Working Time Analysis". It can be reached via Administration/Working Hours/Analysis. The data can be filtered by contract, staff member or time period. For reporting, a new report suggestion is provided.
    • A category can be chosen for staff members, which is used as a default for the time keeping.
    • Overviews of overtime and holidays can be outputted from the dialogue "Working Hours Overview".

      User Rights Management

      A separate user right to configure the FTP connection for the document management is provided.

      Language Module

      New search function: Besides different possibilities for full text search, now the full text search within the changed/new texts is also provided. To translate menus, the user is faster in finding the wished original text, which is not translated jet. Also, the tab sequence in the translation dialogue was optimized.

      To make work with LASTRADA in a multilingual environment more flexible, the new mechanism for multilingual documents and multilingual master data is available. Besides working with different dialogue languages, now also the master data and documents can be managed in different languages within one database! For instance, the service catalogue can be translated in another language and for each contract a leading language can be selected (e.g. Spanish). For this contract (where the leading language is Spanish), the service catalogue will be shown in Spanish language.

      Time Keeping (Personnel Hire)

      Dialogue "Contract" / Buttons "Personnel" & "Time Records":
      Dialogue "Personnel":
    • For different categories, a new tooltip with details from the service catalogue is displayed.
    • Dialogue " Time Records":
    • The data entry from 7:00 to 7:00 will be interpreted as 24h, and not 0h
    • Several time periods per day can be registered: E.g. from 4 to 6 and 10 to 12 (On-Call-Modus). Please select from the context menu (right mouse click): Add a new row.
    • For selected fields, time records can be deleted - via the context menu (right mouse click).
    • Invoicing of time records: If no holiday overtime rate was entered, automatically the standard overtime rate will apply.

      Laboratory Workflow Management (Testing Program)

      In the "Testing Program Overview", now the filter for "cash client" is provided.

      In the "Testing Program Dialogue", the flag "cash client" can be changed. This requires the user right "invoices".

      The reporting of several tests within one testing program is improved. Now, non-LASTRADA tests (e.g. oil or steel) and LASTRADA tests (concrete, soil, ..) are better integrated. LASTRADA sorts the testing packages and non-LASTRADA will be at the end of a document.

      This new feature strengthens the approach of the LASTRADA laboratory software to support the complete workflow of independent test houses. With LASTRADA, the workflow of any kind of material test can be managed.


      A new number generation scheme for cash invoices was implemented (Go to Options/ Number Generation Patterns)


      Context menu: The new menu item "Page Numbering Settings" was implemented to change the cover letter and total number of pages of the document. (You can reach the context menu by right mouse click.)

      New Test Module "Sealing Products"

      The new test module "Sealing Products" covers the following features:
    • Register and administer test locations and test results
    • Full integration with the "Testing Program" workflow:
    • 1) Definition of testing packages and settings
      2) Laboratory clearance of test locations
      3) Registration of raw test data and calculation of results
      4) Report generator

    • A standard template for reports is provided, which can be changed individually.
    • The following tests are supported:
    • 1) Bond strength test by pull-off according to EN 1542
      2) Bond strength test according to EN 13892-8
      3) Bond strength test according to SIA 281/3
      4) Determination of coarseness depth according to EN 1766, Ch. 7.2
      5) Concrete moisture according to ZTV-ING, Part 3, Ch. 4

      LASTRADA supports a growing number of construction materials and geotechnical tests. The new test module "Sealing Products" enhances the depth and width of LASTRADA supported test methods. Together with our customers we continuously add new test modules, new test methods and new standards. Contact us, if you wish to include a new test.

      The development of LASTRADA as a quality control software pursues the philosophy, that the entry of raw testing data follows the actual laboratory workflow. This means that the dialogues are tailored to each context. All required calculations are carried out by LASTRADA. For each method, final results can also be registered alternatively.


      Concrete Testing Register C-TR1:
      The reporting of the testing register (before/after testing) was accelerated.
      For the testing register before testing the modus "Test data registration via dialogue/test equipment" can be chosen. For the testing register after testing the modus "Show finished samples" can be chosen. The applied filter and sorting sequence will be the same in the output document and in the dialogue.

      Dialogues for Sample Registration:
    • Re- arrange samples and specimen (i.e. re-order specimens or transfer to other fresh concrete sample)
    • New sorting of specimen (CTRG+SHIFT+O)
    • Copy samples and specimen

    • Hardened Concrete:
    • Results are shown for all test methods (single values, mean values of the fresh concrete sample). Therefore new columns e.g. "results (1)" were provided.
    • New fields relating to test methods were provided: evaluation, specification, target values, and registration of reference storage and form

    • Dialogues "Summary of Production Data and Test Results" and "Construction Site Access":
    • New button to copy samples

    • Dialogue "Construction Site Access":
    • New button "Edit sub-contract" (to edit sub-contract data and delete sub-contracts)

    • Concrete Mix Design and Specifications

      Design and specification of steel-fibre concretes in accordance with "DAfStb Standard for Steel Fibre Concretes" are now fully implemented and supported

      Performance classes can be registered according to "DAfStb Standard for Steel Fibre Concretes". Additional performance classes can be defined in the master data.

      "Chapter 1 Application area" (page 5) has been added to the rules for the product code generation scheme "user-specific (37)".

      Asphalt - Mixing Plant Recipe

      Under "Tests and Modules/Asphalt", the new menu entry "Overview of mixing plant recipes" was added. This dialogue offers the overview and selection of recipes. Also, customisable lists of selected recipes can be created. To find template examples, go to "Document/Document Types with Exemplary Objects/Asphalt"; document "List of mixing plant recipes".

      Additionally, the selected recipes can be opened and edited by double click.

      Soil / Plate Bearing Test

      3 decimal places are considered for the gauge arm ratio hp:hm (See the example in the DIN 18134).

      Soil/Aggregate: Sieving

      Two additional sieves are provided in the following areas: aggregate definition, aggregate declaration, soil master data, and in all sieving methods for soil and aggregates (to support new sample splitting methods).

      Also, new cell types were implemented accordingly.

      Aggregate Tests

      Resistance against weathering according to ASTM C88 was implemented. The sequence of the sieves was changed. Now the largest sieve is on top.

    • Invoice and Service Statistics

      The "Top Clients" template can be also filled from the service statistics dialogue.
    • Laboratory Workflow Management (Testing Program)

      A new user right to delete testing programs was established.

      Testing program overview dialogue: For selected testing programs, the cash invoices can be created. Before, this was only possible one-by-one in the testing program dialogue.
    • Aggregate Testing

      For the MDE test, an option can be defined, whether the mean of both individual tests should be rounded to the next whole number.
    • Aggregate FPC

      A place of unloading can be defined. In the deliveries, the unloading place will be set as default.

      In the Info Terminal, documents can be issued for selected declarations. The standard template can be defined in the corresponding product list.

      Also, new filters for the client and unloading place were implemented.
    • Asphalt

      In the Asphalt Definition, limits for the dynamical penetration depth after 2500 cycles and for the increasing of the dynamical penetration depth after 5000 cycles can be defined.

      In the type test, the increasing dynamical penetration depth can be entered and given out with the new limits.

      In the Asphalt Quality Control, the values for the dynamical penetration depth and their increasing were shown and can be given out. The limits from the Asphalt Definition will be considered.

    • Cement Testing

      In the dialogue for "EN 196-2 / Ch.13 / Main Constituents", the calculated value C3A (tricalcium aluminate) will be displayed according to ASTM C150, Annex A1, equation A1.3. A new cell type for the output was established.

      In the dialogue for "EN 196-2 / Ch.17 / Alkali Reactivity", the results for the Na2O and K2O content can be entered directly. This was made to support laboratory workflows, where the calculated results are directly read from the testing machine.

      In the dialogues for Fineness, Compressive Strength, Soundness and Setting Times, fields for target values have been implemented. The goal is to support the cement testing according to other product standards, which differ from EN 197-1, especially ASTM.
    • Atterberg

      For the liquid and plastic limit, target values can be entered. If target values are set, in the tab "Analysis (Part 1)", the liquid limit and the plastic limit are shown in blue or red, depending on meeting the target values.

      Additionally, the applied standard can be entered textual.

      New cell types to output the target values have been established.

    • Incoming Samples Ledger

      A new column title for the client of the corresponding project was included.
    • Invoices

      For the output of an invoice, the item number can be given out without a leading prefix. For this purpose, a new option can be set.
    • Asphalt Quality Control

      Two new fields to describe the core were implemented: compaction/ bond between courses. For the output, new cell types are available for the tabular output.
    • Asphalt Type Test

      For the grading optimiser (mix calculation...), the following add-ons were implemented:
      - The target grading curve can be registered manually.
      - Single sieves of the target grading curve can be especially considered for the optimisation.
      - It can be defined for every TT and as standard default setting (for all users!), whether the actual and the target grading curve should be rounded to whole numbers (except of the passing of the smallest sieve).
    • Asphalt FPC

      In the mixture sample, the recipe number (set as default from the TT) can be edited. Also, a field for remarks to the recipe exists. The valid recipe number of the mixture sample is received from the sample. If no recipe number was entered in the sample, the recipe number of the TT comes in place. In the sample selection dialogue, a filter for the recipe number is provided. New column titles were provided in the statistic output, and a new cell type in the mixture sample output.
    • Incoming Bitumen Inspection

      To calculate the ductility, the testing temperature can be entered and can be given out. In the selection of the binder (to be tested) the testing temperature from the bitumen type were transferred (if a target testing temperature was defined).
    • Aggregates / Soil - CBR

      The new testing standard SN 670 321a was implemented. In this case it is assumed that for the samples 1, 2, 3, the CBR1, CBR2 or CBR-F value will be determined. A CSV file, including the height measurement raw data, can be imported. Also, a new diagram can be used for the output. This add-on of the CBR can be used within the aggregate module and in the corresponding soil module.
    • Soil/Cores

      The soil classes according to DIN EN ISO 14688-1 were added. These classifications and the corresponding master data will be inserted automatically in the database.

      At the layer registration, it can be selected for every station, whether the soil classes should be considered according to DIN EN ISO 14688-1 or to DIN 4023. The selection, profile visualisation and reporting are working in the same way.

      Within one sub-contract, if of a new station is created, the selected standard will be transferred.
    • Concrete Mix Design

      The specification bundle consists of a new text field, where "Further Specifications" can be registered.
    • Concrete

      The test method "Free Test" was expanded by the field "Testing Method". The field can be edited and a corresponding cell type was created.

      Concreting Journal: 3 new options for the data output were implemented. The report can be grouped via identity groups (divided documents, common documents, selection of one particular concrete).

      Fresh concrete testing: explicit registration of the testing time was added.

      In the dialogue "X-ray Fluorescence Analysis", the results of loss in ignition, CO2, Mn2O3 and ZnO can be registered. The output of these results will be supported by new cell types. Also, a new template was provided.
    • Asphalt Testing

      For samples with connection to the incoming samples ledger:
      - For the registration via the testing register, the determination of the penetration depth and the test of the bond between courses for cores were implemented.
      - In the FPC and the quality control, a new dialogue was provided, where the testing date can be shown and registered.
    • Concrete Mix Design

      New consistency classes are available: Viskosity class (V-funnel test) and sedimentation stability class
      Also new: Prevention class for AAR, Resistance according to SIA MB 2042
    • Concrete Testing

      Fresh concrete testing: diverse additions, especially new testing methods were added: viscosity (V-funnel test) and sieve segregation test.

      New invoices: The logged-in user will be suggested to be the invoice creator. If the contract has a responsible person, he/she will still be pre-set as invoice creator.

      New output possibility from the dialogue "Sample Overview": The contract awarder can be given out.
    • Aggregate

      The salt content can be defined in the group of the chemical tests. The corresponding target limit can be defined in the master data (aggregate definition).
    • Asphalt

      In the master data (binder definition), min values for the needle penetration for elastic recovery on the reclaimed bitumen can be defined. The min values can be included in the mixture evaluation for the quality control as well as for the FPC.

      For type tests, a third additive can be defined. This additive describes merely the composition of the type test, but this is not tested in the quality control or in the FPC.

      In the mixture statistics, a new cell type for the allowed tolerance around the mean was included (according to the technical delivery conditions for reclaimed asphalt).

      The laboratory clearance in the Testing Programs was expanded:
      - It will be differentiated between mixture and core samples (on the basis of the selected testing packages). For mixture and core samples new dialogues were developed: Now further details can be registered (e.g. the course structure for core samples).
      - It can be defined in the contract, whether registered samples belong to the FPC of a mixing plant. In this case, the samples which have been registered in the workflow of the "Testing Program" will be automatically registered as FPC samples.
    • Asphalt Data Mining, Dialogue "Time series"

      The points of the actual curve can be labelled with the name of the plant, name of the asphalt or sample number. The labels automatically adjust to the diagram size and axes labelling. The angle of the labelling can be changed.

      The diagram title was slightly reduced and other adjustments to the design have been made.
    • Soil/Sieving Sedimentation

      Sedimentation: Calculation of the temperature correction according to DIN 18123:2011-04, table 3 is now implemented.

      Dialogue tab "Sub-contract": For the selected station, the sieve values including the masses und sieve loss can now be calculated as the sum of other selected stations. Only stations can be selected, which have the same sieve set as the target station --> Short cut: <CTRG>+<SHIFT>+"+".

      For the output, structured cell types with ordinal number and the user defined cell type are provided.
    • Concrete

      Dialogue "Construction Site Access": The new button in the toolbar "Search for a Concreting" is provided.

      New feature "Search for samples/test results" (Menu Test+Modules/Concrete): Dialogue B-PSF: A filter is provided for searching samples/test results The samples which comply with the search filter will be shown in the dialogue "B-PSE". Over here, the corresponding complete samples can be edited and lists or Excel sheets can be given out.
    • Receiving Inspection of Aggregates

      Via the context menu in the table, the output of the size fractions according to EN can be switched. For these size fractions d/2, d, D/2, D/1.4, D, 1.4D and 2D, new column titles were provided.

      The LASTRADA release version 4.3.0 introduces a new workflow control module for independent laboratories.

      This module provides an alternative to the existing ways of workflow structuring in LASTRADA, which laid much focus on flexibility and wide, overlapping responsibilities. Now we are pleased to present a module which concentrates on the requirements of independent laboratories that prefer well-defined responsibilities and central oversight.

      An integrated user-friendly interface guides the user from sample receiving, via test planning and test data entry to the document outbox. Each user receives quick, intuitive and role-based access to all necessary information and control centres. The possibility of a seamless integration with quotations, invoicing and document management modules goes without saying.

      Here are the key-features of the new module:

      - one seamless user-friendly interface provides step-by-step guidance from sample receiving to report sending and invoicing
      - support of up to 5 roles for clearing stages and signatures
      - direct access to test data registration dialogues
      - optional integration with invoice management and document management modules
      - comprehensive overview of the status of testing programs (sample receiving, clearance, testing, signature, invoicing and outbox) at the push of a button
      - automatic status messages via Windows task bar icons and direct access to the corresponding tasks
      - fast and direct document generation (e.g. for contract confirmations, sample data sheets, lab work sheets, reports and invoices)
      - integrated outbox (document distribution lists and outgoing document registration)

      This new module also includes all features of the LASTRADA Digital Signature Module and the LASTRADA Sample Management Module.
